Twice a month, It Takes Two with Amy and JJ opens their studio to downtown Fargo and all the great (an even not so great) stories from the Downtown Community Partnership’s Melissa Rademacher.
On this episode, Melissa sits in the hot seat and answers questions about what exactly the Downtown Community Partnership does.
The easy answer – EVERYTHING!
The details are not so simple. The Downtown Community Partnership advocate for downtown businesses, events and residents. Things like working hand in hand with BID (see that episode below) to keep downtown streets, sidewalks and walls clean/clear. Gum doesn’t pick itself up, ya know!
They also plan major events like the Downtown Street Fair, The Holiday Lights Parade, etc. Plus, at any given time, you will find Melissa and her team working to promote downtown living, working and shopping. When it comes to attracting business downtown, the DCP takes their task very seriously. Letting businesses know the walkability, real world parking situations, national attention (ahem, Game Day?!?!) and so many more aspects that help attract new and expanding businesses to make a footprint in downtown.
