Take each story with a grain of salt – most of those news sites are looking for your clicks – and use your best judgement when you are out of the country and someone offers you a free ride or you are enticed by an excursion off the property of your resort. You are safest when you stay at the resort you booked. They want to keep you safe so you can keep spending money with their resort! If you are traveling with an older family member or someone who has mobility issues, Lisa recommends a brand of resorts that follow the United States building codes required by the ADA. This makes a HUGE difference if you have someone in your party who requires a walker, wheelchair or just needs some extra consideration.
