SEE IT – Mission Impossible: Fallout and Teen Titans GO! to the Movies
Mission Impossible delivers everything you want. Action, suspense and some amazing stunts. This is the 6th film in the beloved franchise and this one is tailored to spy genre fans across the board. You don’t need to have seen the other ones, but if you go back to the fourth and fifth – the enjoyment of the plot will be amped up a bit.
Teen Titans GO! to the Movies is a dream for the kiddos and a delightful 90 minutes for parents. The humor is similar to The Lego Movie with gags for the kids and some deep cuts for the super nerds. Michael Bolton cameos as a polar bear that wears sunglasses and plays a synth…singing a song called “Upbeat Inspirational Song about Life” which is a show stopper. I had a ton of fun at this one, you will too.
STREAM IT – Castle Rock on Hulu
A mini series set in a fictional town in Maine that has links to Stephen King’s greatest works? Yes please! The skin crawling creepiness is in full force when it comes to ‘Castle Rock.’ A stellar cast creates the right vibe that will require some folks to watch this series with the lights on. Streaming on Hulu, you aren’t required to be a Stephen King fan, but be prepared to be one after the first episode.
SKIP IT – The Equalizer 2
First off, I loved the first Equalizer. The second one is alright. Nothing great and really just made me want to watch the first one again. Rather than pay movie theater prices, you might want to wait for this to be on Cinemax or something. Alright, not great – there are better options out there. To my knowledge, the only stand out thing about this one is that this is Denzel Washington’s first sequel.
