Mike Schmitz, General Manager of the North Dakota Horse Park, gallops into the studio to talk the 2018 Fargo Food Truck Festival. Hot Dog Eating competitions, Bloody Mary’s and the 1st ever Makin’ Bacon cook-off. August 17th – 19th.
Let’s face it, food trucks are the hottest culinary trend around the nation. Whether you are looking for hot dogs, philly cheese steaks, salads, deserts or just about anything else – food trucks can scratch your itch.
The Fargo Food Truck Festival has been going strong and as they embark on their 6th year, the ante is up. Mike Schmitz tells IT2 that the goal to make “events within the event” has been a jewel in the festival’s crown. Adding value to the mere $2 admission in the way of a hot dog eating contest, a build your own bloody mary competition and a bacon cook off. There is more food than a person could eat in one day, so for you serious foodies – enjoy the festival Friday, Saturday and Sunday!
