If the sight of bugs creeps you out…this is not the podcast for you! We talk with a zoologist who tours the country with “BugOlogy” an exhibit where you can get hands on experiences with everything from butterflies to tarantulas. They also offer bugs to eat…yep, to eat!
Karma is a fitting name for the woman who presents you with Stanley the Stick Bug and Barbie the Tarantula. She gets a lot of the same questions from new friends like, “Does the tarantula bite?” and “What do they eat?”
The BugOlogy exhibit is just one of the exciting new hands-on activities at the Red River Valley Fair this year. Get up close and personal with amazing creatures.Even better, according to some, they teach about the sustainability of bugs as a protein source. Karma brought along some chocolate covered crickets for JJ and guest co-host Britta to try as well as some BBQ flavored chips that are made up of crickets as well.
Listen for their reviews of these products and be sure to stop out and say hello to Barbie the Tarantula and Stanley the Stick Bug when you visit the Red River Valley Fair this year.
