MAHNOMEN, Minn, (KFGO) – Wild Rice Electric customers in Detroit Lakes, Hawley, Lake Parks, Rochert, and Waubun are without power following heavy winds Monday night.
A representative from Wild Rice Electric told KFGO News that at 9:00 A.M. the number of customers without power was only a few hundred until 9:16 A.M. The Erie substation went out which feeds everything east of Detroit Lakes.
Wild Rice Electric says they do not have an estimate of how many customers are without power but say that it is in the thousands.
