WALSH COUNTY, N.D. (KFGO) – A North Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper was injured Friday afternoon after his patrol car was hit by two cars on I-29.
The Trooper was responding to a crash near the mile marker 161 exit bridge. When the trooper arrived the patrol car was sideswiped on the driver’s side by a car that lost control on ice. Seconds later another car rear-ended the trooper’s car.
The Trooper was taken to Altru Hospital with minor bruising. No other injuries are reported. The Walsh County Sheriff’s Office is investigating both collisions.
