FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – Sheffield, a red panda at the Red River Zoo in Fargo has been found.
A zoo keeper discovered the panda missing Thursday morning which prompted a day-long search in the area. Thursday night, he was found grooming himself in a tree near the zoo, lured down with food. Sheffield was “safe and sound at his home.” The red panda is an endangered species.
The Red River Zoo has made significant contributions to red panda conservation. More than 25% of Chinese Red Pandas found in zoo’s across the country were born at the Red River Zoo.! The Red River Zoo is known world wide for their success in Red Panda breeding.
