HITTERDAL, MN (KFGO) – A teenage girl is dead after the car she was driving left a Clay County road north of Hitterdal, northeast of Moorhead.
Sheriff Mark Empting says the car was discovered upside down in a slough on 100th Ave. near state Hwy. 32 early Sunday morning. A passing driver spotted the car.
Friends say 17-year-old Alivia Mortenson died in the crash. She attended Ulen High School.
Empting says state patrol crash reconstruction experts have been on the scene, trying to determine why Mortenson left the road.
