FARGO (KFGO) – The annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will go on, with an expanded route. Moorhead has been added to the parade route this year, which had traditionally only been a Fargo event.
Fargo Mayor Tim Mahoney says the city has partnered with the Downtown Community Partnership and former parade organizers to continue the tradition. Jefferson Bus Lines, which is moving its depot back to downtown Fargo, is the presenting sponsor.
Midwest Radio of Fargo-Moorhead, the owner of KFGO, is a supporting sponsor. Events and entertainment guide, Fargo Underground, will provide advertising packages to businesses and organizations.
The parade committee decided last month that it could no longer afford insurance for the event. It also cited a lack of volunteers for its decision to cancel the parade.
The parade is set for Saturday, March 16 at 11 a.m.
