FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – In the aftermath of this weekend’s snowstorm, Fargo Public Works Supervisor Lee Anderson calls it “once in a decade” kind of weather event. Anderson, who has been with Fargo Public Works for decades, says cleanup has been slowed as equipment has been getting stuck and they have had to repeatedly pull it out again.
“We are going to be chasing this for the rest of the winter. It’s going to be very difficult,” Anderson said. As of early Monday morning, Anderson told KFGO News that they still had over 2000 lane miles to clear.
Cass County Sheriff’s Deputy Chad Johnson advises people not to travel. However, if you must travel he suggests using the North Dakota DOT map to check road conditions on your route. https://www.dot.nd.gov/travel-info-v2/. The Minnesota travel map is found at 511mn.org.
