BARNESVILLE, MN (KFGO) – A wild turkey ended up in the backseat of an SUV after the bird came through the windshield on I-94 near Barnesville.
Barnesville Police say the driver only had minor cuts from shattered glass. Since the driver wasn’t seriously hurt, the department used the call to remind drivers to be cautious this time of year. On its Facebook page, police wrote “we gobbled up a few pictures of this fowl incident and it can really ruffle your feathers to have this much damage done to your vehicle.”
The turkey, which landed in the backseat on the passenger side, died.
The state patrol and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the call.
