KFGO and FMCT present…

“A Christmas Carol” the classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and his yuletide journey of redemption. Recorded in 2019 after the FMCT’s run of “A Christmas Carol” was cut short due to the devastating structural damage inside the theater. After some head scratching and the help of an audio engineer a plan was put in place to record the entire show and broadcast the production during KFGO’s Christmas programming. This production is now an annual holiday tradition on KFGO. Get rid of your humbugs and embrace the joy of the season!

More than 30 cast members packed into the studios on a cold December night to record their performance. Singing, acting, special effects and more filled the studios as we all worked together to capture the magic of a stage show for the radio.

KFGO stepped up and recorded the performance in our studios, produced a radio version thanks to Judy Lewis (then director of the show, now the Executive Director of FMCT) and with the help of audio master Billy Kidd…we have a new annual tradition.

ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 24th , KFGO WILL AIR “A CHRISTMAS CAROL” FROM 9pm to 11pm.
