FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo Police say three more suspects in a brutal downtown assault that left a man with severe injuries to his face and head have been arrested.
The suspects, 48-year-old Sergio Granados of Fargo, 35-year-old Terrell Smith of Moorhead, and 24-year-old Angelica Hernandez of Moorhead are facing assault charges.
According to court records, the three were part of a group involved in a fight on April 6th.
It began when two men started fighting on NP Avenue west of Broadway and two other men tried to break it up. Those two men each suffered injuries after five more people – including Granados, Smith, and Hernandez – came upon the scene.
Granados – identified in court documents as Suspect #3 – is accused of punching the two men who tried to break up the fight.
One of the men, Sam Pikula, suffered a broken nose, broken orbital bones, and forehead injuries so severe doctors needed to insert a titanium plate to repair it.
Smith – identified in court documents as Suspect #5 – is accused of punching Pikula five times and knocking him to the ground.
Hernandez – identified in court documents as Suspect #6 – is accused of stomping on one victim’s face twice.
Another suspect, Travice Ledoux, was arrested last month and is charged with aggravated assault and accomplice to aggravated assault.
Court records mention two other suspects who punched and kicked the two men who tried to break up the fight. A total of six suspects were involved in what is referred to in court documents as a brawl and each are accused of either punching, kicking, or stomping at least one of three men.
The six suspects are all accused of continuing to assault one of the men involved in the initial fight as he was pinned into a corner of the Sports Bar entryway.
Fargo police say the incident remains under investigation as they try to identify other suspects.
