CASS COUNTY, N.D. (KFGO) – A wrong-way driver faces multiple charges after his arrest on I-29, 2 miles south of Grandin, North Dakota shortly after 11 p.m. Monday.
The State Patrol received several calls about the wrong-way driver headed southbound in the northbound lanes of the interstate.
Calls were originally reported in Traill County and continued into Cass County where deputies and state troopers attempted to stop the minivan using emergency lights and sirens.
There was a short pursuit, hitting speeds of 60 mph before a state trooper used a PIT maneuver that caused the driver to lose control, end up in a ditch along the interstate where the van stopped and the driver was arrested.
Trevor Christensen, 30, of Dilworth, Minnesota, was arrested for DUI, driving under revocation, reckless endangerment, and fleeing. He was not injured.
