Claudio Degollado (Cass County Jail)
FARGO (KFGO) – A 34-year-old Fargo man was arrested for armed robbery Monday afternoon during a coordinated operation between Red River Valley SWAT, the Fargo Police, and the Metro Street Crimes Unit.
Police say SWAT was requested to assist in the the high-risk search warrant service at 3:00 p.m. in the 600 block of 11th St. N. because the suspect, Claudio Degollado, was believed to be armed. Degollado had been identified as a suspect in an armed robbery that took place around 9:00 a.m. Monday in the 1500 block of S. University Dr., where the Southside Shopping Center is located. A man at the business told officers that an individual, later identified as Degollado, had entered the business, brandished a gun, and demanded money.
Degollado was arrested during the SWAT operation and transported to the Cass County Jail on suspicion of armed robbery and burglary.
Police aren’t identifying the business that was robbed or releasing any additional information about the incident.
