Bryan Demarais (Meeker County Jail)
LITCHFIELD, Minn. – A man accused of killing his wife in Meeker County west of the Twin Cities last week was criminally charged Tuesday.
Prosecutors charged 35-year-old Bryan Demarais of Dassel with second-degree murder and two counts of child endangerment.
Demarais received a court-appointed attorney and his next court appearance is an omnibus hearing March 25. Unconditional bail was set at $3 million, conditional bail was set at $1.5 million.
According to the criminal complaint, Demarais shot his wife Kayla, 29, last Thursday morning because she was having an affair.
