Bryan Demarais (Meeker County Jail)
LITCHFIELD, Minn. – A Meeker County man makes his first court appearance Tuesday for the alleged shooting death of his wife near Dassel.
Prosecutors say 35-year-old Brian Demarais is facing one count of second-degree murder in the shooting of 29-year-old Kayla Demarais.
Deputies say Brian called 911 last Thursday morning to report that he had shot his wife, and she was later found dead in their home. Two children who witnessed the incident were placed in protective custody.
