Cass County Electric working to restore power
FARGO (KFGO) – Cass County Electric Cooperative continues working to restore power to thousands of primarily rural customers who lost electricity over the past couple of days.
Several thousand members have been affected.
Cass County Electric has contacted other rural electric cooperatives for help and those crews are expected to arrive Wednesday. The coop is dealing with an estimated 100 downed power poles, many wire breaks and locations where tree branches fell onto power lines.
Cass County Electric is advising members to check their generators and fuel sources in case this event becomes extended due to weather and ongoing system damage.
