Fatal head-on crash involving van and combine on Towner County, ND highway

EGELAND, N.D. (KFGO) – A man died in a head-on crash with a combine in Towner County, North Dakota.

The Highway Patrol says the crash happened shortly after 3:00 p.m. Monday on Highway 66 near Egeland.

The 39-year-old from Stewart, Mississippi was driving a van when he hit part of the combine’s header.

The driver of the combine, 72-year-old Lawrence Weber of Devils Lake, was not hurt.

The victim’s name has not yet been released.
