WINNIPEG, MB (CJOB/GLOBAL NEWS) – Three days after Shania Twain played to a full house at the Fargodome, a bus carrying members of her crew was involved in a rollover on a highway east of Wolsesely, Saskatchewan. Twain was not involved in the rollover Wednesday morning.
Fire Chief Dwayne Stone said 13 people were trapped in the bus wreck. He said firefighters used an emergency hatch in the roof and took out windows in order to get the people out.
Stone said people were taken to a nearby hospital and he didn’t believe any of their injuries were life-threatening. The owner of the bus said the bus hit black ice on the highway causing the crash.
Twain continues on her “Queen of Me Tour” and played in Winnipeg Tuesday night and was scheduled to stop in Saskatoon Thursday, but it was unclear if the show would take place.
