To Kneel or Not?
Now that the NFL has begun it’s pre-season, it’s being challenged by the constitutional rights given by the forefathers. To “Take a Knee” or not.
If you pay any attention to what I say on the radio, you know I think it’s bunk to not allow the players to express their displeasure with the willy nilly, deadly shooting of unarmed black suspects by white law officers.
It never has been about the flag, the troops or patriotism. It’s about Trumpism. Pure and simple. And, racism, emboldened.
That gazillionaire blow hard owner of the wife-beating, drug-using Dallas Cowboys NFL Franchise, Jerry Jones is demanding his players stand, erect, “toe on line” during the playing of The Star Spangled Banner. (They’re doing so. Proving their patriotism under threat of firing.)
But, in a recent pre-season event, the jerk stood, hand on heart with his HAT ON! My dad would’ve knocked the cap off my head. He would’ve maybe even sworn. HE was a patriot, not someone using patriotism to sell tickets and placate a dictatorial president.
This guy-He doesn’t have to take his hat off? What? A? Jerk? Yes. Jerk. An unamerican jerk at that. The master doesn’t play by the same rule as the slaves?
