ANOKA, MINN. – Up to 60 thousand people are expected in downtown Anoka Saturday for the annual Grand Day Parade.
Halloween Capital of the World committee chair Linda Evavold says they plan all year for this weekend.
She says people from all over come, even from out of state. One person is coming back from Tennessee because he’s so excited and loves the town so much.
Anoka has declared Saturday as “Travis Gienger” Day, and he and his world-record-setting 27-hundred-pound pumpkin will be in the parade.
There’s a Halloween tent party Friday night and walking ghost tours hosted by the Anoka County Historical Society.
