ST. CLOUD, Minn. – A Paynesville, Minnesota woman charged in the death of her disabled daughter has pleaded guilty to murder.
According to court records, 13-year-old Kylie Larson, had chronic respiratory failure and severe developmental delay from the loss of oxygen at birth. Her mother, 38-year-old Elise Nelson was reportedly alone with her daughter over four days in June 2020 when she disabled an oxygen monitoring device, and deprived her daughter of medical care.
Nelson allegedly responded to a text message from a family friend, saying she had just finished performing CPR and was waiting for the police, but court records show Nelson didn’t call 911 until about 20 minutes after that text message was sent.
She will be sentenced on January 8th in Stearns County District Court.
