FARGO (KFGO) – The Fargo Police Department was asking people to avoid the area of Main Avenue and Broadway as officers dealt with a potential improvised explosive device. But, shortly before 1:30 Thursday afternoon, the advisory was lifted.
People had been asked to stay out of the area bound by 8th Street, NP Avenue, 4th Street and 1st Avenue South and anyone in a building in this area was told to shelter in place.
KFGO News reporter Ryan Janke was on scene the and says he was told by an employee of one business that she was told to stay inside. Janke says sidewalks and storefronts were also closed.
