(KFGO/KNFL) The F-M RedHawks and the Gary Southshore Railcats squared off in the rubber game of a three-game series on Thursday in Gary, Indiana.
Trailing 4-1 early, the ‘Hawks used the long ball to rally and win the game 6-4.
Correlle Prime belted a 2-run homer in the top of the 6th to pull the RedHawks within a run at 4-3.
In the 8th, Evan Alexander lead off the inning with a double, two batters later Sam Dexter crushed a homer to left to give the ‘Hawks a 5-4 lead. RedHawks catcher Mike Falsetti added another run with a solo homer to cap a 3-run inning.
Alex Dubord picked up the win in relief, while Rez Aleaziz (ah-lee’-ah-zeez) recorded the save.
The RedHawks win, coupled with Lincoln’s 7-3 loss to Kansas City, has the ‘Hawks sitting alone in 4th place in the AA West.
