STILLWATER, Minn. – The man accused of intentionally running over and killing a 17-year-old girl in Forest Lake last month is now facing more serious charges.
Washington County prosecutors say 20-year-old Dylan Simmons of North Branch is charged with two counts of second-degree murder, three counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and criminal vehicular homicide.
The amended complaint says Simmons admitted that he intended to strike 17-year-old Darisha Vath of Stacy on July 16 following a fight between two groups of people. Simmons was initially charged with third-degree murder.
