WEST FARGO – West Fargo Police Chief Denis Otterness says he is retiring.
Otterness was appointed as Chief of Police in September 2020.
The chief retires with 33 years of law enforcement experience in a variety of agencies. After working three years in West Fargo, he joined with the Bloomington, Minnesota Police Department in 1998. From there, he went to Montana State University where he served as campus police chief.
Otterness’ retirement takes effect on October 6.
