ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Department of Revenue is reminding homeowners and renters to file their 2021 Property Tax Refund before Tuesday, August 15th.
Revenue Commissioner Paul Marquardt says everyone should take a look into the potential refund, even if you’re not sure you’ll get it.
“If you don’t know that you qualify or not, just go to the Department of Revenue website, search ‘property tax refund,’ grab the information, and you’ve got, kind of, the schedules there that will tell you whether or not you qualify.”
Marquardt says the rule of thumb for homeowners is, if your property taxes are 2% or more of your income, you probably qualify.
