MAPLE GROVE, Minn. – The Hennepin County medical examiner says they have ruled the death of a 78-year-old Plymouth woman as a homicide, days after her daughter allegedly pushed her down the stairs in a domestic abuse incident.
Maple Grove police arrived at a 49-year-old daughter’s home on June 27 to “discuss some issues,” when they saw the woman push her mother down the stairs.
Sheila Wobbeking was taken to the hospital and released, but died in her home July 5 from a blood clot.
Wobbeking’s daughter is in custody on third-degree domestic assault charges, which investigators have requested be changed to homicide.
