MINNEAPOLIS – A coalition of Minnesota activist groups are rallying Tuesday, saying “no to NATO,” and calling for peace negotiations to urgently stop the war in Ukraine.
The protest coincides with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Summit set for July 11 and 12 in Lithuania, where NATO leaders are expected to approve plans to put over 30,000 troops on “high readiness,” and announce new political and military commitments to Ukraine.
The demonstration organized by the Minnesota Peace Action Coalition is at 5 p.m. outside the Minneapolis office of U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar.
