(KFGO/KNFL) The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks are well-represented for the 2023 American Association All-Star Game. Eight RedHawks were chosen for the festivities on July 18 in Milwaukee at Franklin Field.
Outfielder Evan Alexander is a Western Division starter. Alexander is hitting .335 with 12 doubles, 4 triples, 6 home runs and 28 RBI. He is joined by infielder Sam Dexter and catcher BJ Lopez, as both were chosen as reserves for the West All-Stars.
Five F-M pitchers are also All-Star picks, led by veteran Kevin McGovern. McGovern is 5-3 with a 3.18 ERA. He has recorded 51 strikeouts in 53 2/3 innings. He is joined by fellow starters Tyler Grauer, Correlle Prime, and Jake Dykhoff, and reliever Reza Aleaziz. Prime is a two-way player for the RedHawks, also playing on a regular basis when not pitching.
F-M manager Chris Coste will manage the West All-Stars.
