GRAND RAPIDS, MN – Recent rains have not totally eliminated wildfire risk in Minnesota.
Leanne Langeberg with the Interagency Fire Center in Grand Rapids advises everyone this holiday weekend to keep campfires small and enjoyable.
“Your fire should be 3 feet wide by 3 feet high or smaller. When you’re done with your fire in the evening, make sure the fire is out cold,” Langeberg says.
Langeberg says fireworks or pyrotechnic devices are not allowed in Minnesota’s national forests.
