(KFGO/KNFL) Jake Dykhoff pitched 7 1/3 solid innings and a pair of home runs was enough as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks beat the Cleburne Railroaders 3-1 in the opening game of a six-game series.
Dykhoff pitched his longest outing of the season, allowing a run on five hits. He walked two and struck out seven.
Reza Aleaziz pitched a scoreless night to pick up the save.
Leo Pina bashed a solo homer in the 3rd inning to give F-M a 1-0. Manny Boscan, out of the lineup since June 20 due to injury, slugged a two-run homer to make it 3-0 in the fifth. It was Boscan’s first homer since May 23.
The RedHawks (25-14) and Railroaders (22-20) meet again Wednesday night at 7:06 at La Moderna Field in Cleburne.
