If you don’t know who Elijah Cummings is, I hope you take
the time to find out. He’s a 13 term Congressman from the 7
th
District in Maryland that has championed black rights all his life. Working to
make life better for the next generation. That isn’t easy. To many who might
attempt it has to seem impossible.
Not to Cummings. He believes he has championed black rights
and if you head to his district, they agree. 13 terms in Congress means 26
years. 26 years of getting up everyday and going home to his district. That’s
right, going
home
to his district.
I know that Baltimore is close to D.C. but you don’t go home
every night if its rat infested.
That’s what Donald Trump calls it, a rat-infested, dirty
city that no one wants to live in. In other words, a town full of negros. I’d
use another term that America has grown out of, but I think that one made the
paint.
We’ve had this conversation before, but what Donald Trump is
doing is dividing by race. That’s
racism
, plain and simple. And there’s
a reason for it. It’s going to help him with his re-election.
Trump is a lot of things, but stupid isn’t one of them. He’s
been a self-promoter all his life. He knows that giving lower, middle class
white men a reason to hate blacks and Hispanics will help him get re-elected.
And the bonus is that many of their wives believe it too.
So how do we fix this?
We don’t
. The media has had
better ratings and sales than they’ve had in years. If you don’t believe me,
just watch any cable news network and count how many times they say ‘Trump’ in
an hour. He knows that and he makes them follow and he knows that
when
they follow, they all win.
You see, Donald Trump doesn’t care what he does in office.
He only cares that he’s
in
office. He’s already one of the heads above
the blackboard in school. (Am I showing my age there?) And there have been a
number of Presidents before him that shared his views.
It just doesn’t make them right.
