I helped raise two children. Now I’m watching them raise
six. The biggest concern I had, and now they have, is keeping them
safe
.
There is a segment of our society that doesn’t belong in it.
They are predators and parasites. Feeding on young children and women. I’m not
talking about young, immature kids playing doctor. I’m talking about perverts
that hunt.
There are also men that beat women. Taking away their dignity
day after day, just to show who’s in charge. They want women to believe that
they are inferior to men.
Is all of that too graphic for you? It shouldn’t be, because
it happens
every day
.
There are also people that feel they’re at the end of their
rope. Looking at life and seeing no hope. Contemplating suicide, and some even
considering taking others with them.
All of these are the people that Red Flag Laws are about.
Red Flag Laws empower family and law enforcement to go to a judge and, upon his
or her approval, take their guns away before they kill.
There is a process, a judgement and then
hope
. Hope
that doesn’t exist without the common sense and ability we would give to
people.
Let’s give it to them.
