Some may remember “Putter” or for those who show him respect, “Mr. Putter”.
Putter was once labeled by one of my friends as “one badass cat”.
Let’s make a list of some the things he has survived.
Mr. Putter, was once shot in the face with an arrow. That’s right a bow and arrow! The practice arrow entered his right nostril and then was poking out the back of his jaw. My niece came home and heard a noise under the pickup and Putter came crawling out with this arrow in his head. The veterinarian came over on that Sunday, pulled the arrow out and thank goodness no major damage. They took him to his office the next day for some antibiotics. As far as I know they never found out who did it.
Putter does have a slight droop in right eye…probably from the arrow.
He has been in fights….a few of them, maybe a lot of them! A fight with another cat turned out to be quite the battle, where Putter came up with part of his right ear missing. (insert Mike Tyson joke here)
The dogs don’t care for him much either. One broke a couple of ribs on the poor guy. Took several weeks for him to feel his old self.
There was also a story that Mr. Putter would lay down in the middle of the road and once a patrol car stopped to check on him and as the officer got out of the vehicle to see if he might have a dead or injured cat on his hands, The cat jumped up and ran away.
You don’t meet many like him, I think I heard that he has outlived his siblings. Heck…he may outlive all of us.
Putter is still alive and well and lives a cat’s life in Wisconsin!
