Let’s take a look again at what was happening in the newspapers 100 years ago today Dec. 13th, 1919.
With blogs, news stories, even graphics on TV, from time to time you’ll notice an error in grammar, spelling, or in this case a wrong number. So when you spot one of these errors, you can now see this has been going on for centuries.
From the Harrisburg PA Telegraph, an announcement of a charity ball that I’m sure everybody had the date open!
From the New York Tribune a story of a shortage of “Hello Girls”! Aterm I had never heard until I read this story. Telephone switchboard operators!
Talk about a sweet tooth. From the Bridgeport Connecticut Times, the story of a little thief making an unusual heist!
A story I found in the Arizona Republican from Dec. 13th 1919, a little filler story that tells of the variety this world has of mice and more!
