Moorhead city manager leaving for new job in Oakdale Minn.

MOORHEAD, MINN. – Moorhead City Manager Christina Volkers is leaving to take a job as the city administrator of the Twin Cities suburb of Oakdale.

Volkers has been Moorhead city manager since January, 2017., Prior to that, she was Court Executive Officer for the San Bernardino, California Superior Court. She has also held administrative positions in Minneapolis, St.Paul, and Stillwater.

The Oakdale City Council is expected to approve her employment agreement tonight and she is expected to be on the job in late June. Her starting salary is expected to be be $162,932. Volkers was one of five candidates for the job.
