TOWNER CO., N.D. (KFGO) – A 31-year-old woman from Cando, North Dakota, is dead after a crash in rural Towner County on Highway 66, about four miles east of Egeland.
Highway Patrol says just before 6 on Saturday morning, the car crossed the center line, left the highway, vaulted over a field approach, rolled multiple times, and caught fire. The passenger, Brittney Beck, was thrown from the car and died at the scene. Charges are pending against the male driver, 20-year-old Jayce Thomas, from Cando. Thomas was injured.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol, Towner County Sheriff Department, Egeland Volunteer Fire Department, and Towner County Ambulance Service responded to the crash. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
