OXBOW, N.D. (KFGO) – A semi truck and trailer were destroyed by fire on Interstate 29 about 15 miles south of Fargo Friday afternoon.
The truck was southbound south of the Oxbow exit around 2:30 p.m. when it struck construction barrels as the truck was exiting the construction zone. After hitting the barrels, the truck hit a concrete divider and caught fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
The truck driver was the only person in the truck. According to the Highway Patrol, witnesses helped him get out of the burning truck. He was not hurt in the incident.
Industrial Builders and Park Construction helped open the north and soundbound lanes.
The Kindred, Horace, and Davenport fire departments responded to the blaze.
