(KFGO/KNFL) A number of area players will play in the North American Hockey League’s Robertson Cup this weekend. Four teams remain in the NAHL playoffs and will square off at Fogerty Arena in Blaine, MN
The Oklahoma Wilderness are the top seed. Moorhead’s Max Dronen in his second season with the Wilderness. In 56 games this season, Dronen has nine goals and 22 assists. In six postseason games, he has two assists and is +2 plus/minus.
Grand Forks native William Lawson-Body is in his third season with the Wilderness, scoring 16 goals and 32 assists in 52 regular-season games, and adding two goals and five assists in the postseason.
Former Fargo Davies goalie Trent Wiemken is having a great postseason for the Austin (MN) Bruins in the NAHL. Wiemken is 6-0-0-1 in the playoffs with a 1.65 goals against average and a .932 save percentage. Wiemken won 18 games in net in the regular season with a 2.07 goals against average.
