FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. – 89 family farms in Minnesota are being recognized as 2023 Century Farms.
The Minnesota State Fair and Farm Bureau honor farms annually that have been in continuous family ownership for at least 100 years and are 50 acres or more.
This year, family farms in Moorhead, Barnesville, East Grand Forks, Clearbrook, Park Rapids, Mahnomen, and Herman are all on the list of honorees.
Families receive a commemorative sign, plus a certificate signed by the State Fair and Minnesota Farm Bureau presidents and Gov. Tim Walz.
More than 11,000 Century Farms have been recognized since the program started in 1976.
