The Trey Lance hype train has moved out of the station and hit the national limelight.
Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN explained why the NDSU quarterback could be a potential first round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft on Tuesday.
Lance would be looking to join Easton Stick and Carson Wentz as previously drafted Bison quarterbacks.
Stick was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers in the fifth round with the 166th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Wentz was selected with the second overall pick in the 2016 Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Lance guided NDSU to a 16-0 overall record in 2019, as the program won their 8th FCS championship in the past 9 years.
