(KFGO/KNFL) The Class B basketball rankings have some shakeup this week. There is a new top team in the girls rankings, and plenty of movement in the boys’ top ten. The rankings are voted on by members of the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters (NDAPSSA).
Rugby is the new number in the girls’ poll this week as the previous number one, Kenmare, lost to Kindred Saturday at the University of Jamestown. Thompson moved up to second this week. The Tommies received four first-place votes.
Oakes joins the top ten, vaulting to fifth after the Tornadoes beat Central Cass on Saturday. Northern Cass also returns to the top ten. First-place votes in parentheses.

Four Winds-Minnewaukan and Central Cass stay in the top two of the boys’ rankings. Bishop Ryan and Sargent County each move up one spot this week. After losing to Thompson on Friday, Grafton slides three spots to number six. Ellendale made the biggest jump this week, moving up three notches to fifth.
