FARGO (KFGO) – A Fargo man was arrested for violating a court order to leave his home after the City Inspections Department and a contractor moved in to begin demolition of his condemned house.
Danial Curtis was not supposed to be living in the home at 924 5th Street S. When the city arrived to begin clean-up ahead of demolition, more than 10 people had to be removed from the house.
There were numerous code violations, with extensive water damage, electrical issues, and debris and garbage both inside and outside the house. Some of the violations date back more than 20 years.
Neighbors say they’re relieved that the city is finally taking action. Many were frightened by the number of people living in the house, drug deals, drug arrests, rubbish, and 550 police calls made there since December 2018.
