Sgt. Mark Lykken completes final shift with Fargo PD
FARGO (KFGO) – A long-time Fargo police officer has retired. Neighborhood Services Sgt. Mark Lykken completed his final shift Dec. 27. His last shift was marked by the traditional “10 7” (end of shift) message from Red River Regional Dispatch where he was thanked for his years of service to the city and surrounding police agencies.
Lykken worked as a patrol officer, K9 officer, patrol investigative and training officer, public information officer and was a member of the police honor guard.
He retired as one of the longest-tenured members of the Fargo Police Dept. Lykken had been with the department for more than 31 years.
