(KFGO/KNFL) Three members of the Fargo Force completed their stint for Team USA at the World Junior A Challenge in Cornwall, Ontario. Team USA beat Canada East 5-2 in the gold medal game on Sunday.
After losing 5-3 to Canada West in its opening game, Team USA won its final five games. Force forward Cole Knuble scored the game-winning goal for the Team USA in a 4-3 semifinal win over Sweden on Saturday. Knuble scored nine points in the tournament, with three goals and six assists and was named tournament MVP.
Fellow Force forward Mac Swanson scores a goal and four assists in the tournament. Swanson tallied a goal and three assists in a 9-0 victory over Latvia on Friday.
Fargo defenseman Joe Palodichuk scored two goals and two assists in the tournament for Team USA.
Knuble, Swanson, and Palodichuk will return as the Force come back in action December 29th through the 31st versus Des Moines at Scheels Arena.
