DETROIT LAKES, MN (KFGO KDLM) – A district court jury has found a Detroit Lakes Police sergeant not guilty of disorderly conduct for a fight in a Detroit Lakes bar more than a year ago.
Robert Strand appeared to be relieved when the verdict was announced following a three-day trial. The jury met for about two hours.
Strand and Blake Sundvor got into a scuffle. Video surveillance showed that Sundvor hit Strand in the head. Strand argued that he didn’t throw a punch and was defending himself. Sundvor was convicted in July.
Strand was placed on paid administrative shortly after he was charged.
