WILLISTON, N.D. (KFGO) – Authorities in Williston have been on the scene of an apartment where explosive material was found for nearly 20 hours.
The Williston Police Department responded to a report of possible narcotic activity Monday afternoon around 4 p.m. During the investigation, investigators found the suspected explosive materials in an occupied apartment.
The apartment building and a neighboring building were evacuated and the Minot Bomb Squad was called.
The bomb squad remains on scene Tuesday and is expected to be processing the scene throughout the day. The homes will remain closed until the scene is deemed safe for the residents to reenter.
A press conference is scheduled for 1p.m Tuesday.
